busy at the chalk board

Notice the line!  What seems to be an innocent activity can get a bit rough at times.  First off, we only have one eraser!  Am I surprised that is an issue?  Probably shouldn’t be.  Again, a toy that seems harmless, then it gets loaded with chalk and they think they should use it as a telephone or tap each other’s heads with it.  Regardless of the battles, they have been having a lot of fun with this lately.  Maybe on a nice Saturday I will get the paint out and let them paint on it.  Overall, they have taken a much greater interest in coloring and drawing lately.  They are always telling me all the funny things they are drawing:  turtles, Stella, mommy, a new straight line- of course I have to ask to be sure:)

I was impressed by this one from Carter, I told him to draw me a sun and it is actually pretty darn close.
