It's a BOY!

We have some exciting Bormann news to announce. Last week Uncle Adam and Aunt Sarah found out they are having a boy. I was certain they would be having a girl. He will be arriving this January. Now the boys will have 4 boy cousins to get into trouble with and just one girl cousin. I'm not sure if this means my odds of having a girl goes up or if those Bormann men only produce boys.

Like our new bath tub?

Keith was doing some work on our bathtub, so we had to temporarily, relocate for bath time. I think they liked it!

Walk walk walk

Both boys are really taking off with walking, I don't think it will be too long before crawling is out and full time walking is in. This video doesn't show Carter making too much progress but he can keep up with Dylan no problem, we will keep working to get video of them walking together (maybe their first race).

Baby Fashion Show

When we went back to Iowa, we were so excited to see Grandma bought the boys some fall clothes, including winter coats. They look pretty big right now, but I'm sure we will need thick, warm winter coats to survive the Minnesota winter. THANK YOU GRANDMA!!

I think my favorite thing is the hats. I am obsessed with baby hats!

Sleepy Carter

I just love these curls, especially when he has some serious bed head!

Whenever we put the boys to sleep, we usually hold them and rock them to sleep. At daycare they just put them into their cribs and they fall asleep. So for their morning nap today, we just put them into their cribs without holding them or rocking them. Surprisingly both jabbered for a little bit and fell asleep. Even better, they took great naps. We'll see if this keeps working.

We have some WALKERS!

I'm not certain at what point you can officially say you have a "walker". Is it when they start walking around hanging onto furniture, is it when they can walk holding your hand, is it when they take a couple steps on their own, is it when those couple of steps turn into five steps? On Thursday night both were walking a good 10 - 15 feet with confidence and have continued to walk longer and longer stretches each day. So I'm going to go ahead and make the call.....WE OFFICIALLY HAVE WALKERS. Watch out world, here come Carter and Dylan!

Oh and for the record, Dylan definitely started taking more steps on his own first and we thought Carter would maybe be a good week or two behind him, but all of a sudden he caught on to it and is at the same pace as Dylan.

I will try to get a video in the next couple days to post.

Check out our new shoes!

I have walked by all the cute little boy shoes a number of times and told myself "NO" each time! Then one day, these ones just hopped into my cart....couldn't say no. They are actually really great shoes and super easy to put on. Up until about now, we didn't really put shoes on the boys and sorta quit putting socks on them as well. Now that they are starting to walk more and play outside more, I thought it would be time for some sneakers!

Yes mom, we will keep our shoes clean:)

Running around in my new shoes made me sleepy!

Last night out for Miss Kenworthy!

Last weekend we went back to Iowa for Nicole's wedding shower and bachelorette party! It was a fun evening out touring the Des Moines bar scene via party bus. It was so much fun seeing all these girl again. Most of them live in Kansas City, so it is pretty hard to meet up these days.

I can assure you we were all extremely well behaved ladies all night!

This was at a bar called the jungle room, a first time for me at this establishment. They had karaoke and I must say my quartet and I did a fabulous job singing Journey, Don't stop Believing.

These three are trouble!

I can only imagine the trouble these three are going to get into in the next few years!! They are starting to get pretty close to the age where they can play together. Carter totally follows Cade around, it is pretty funny. One night it was close to night time and Cade was being a good boy sitting in the chair with his milk and Carter and Dylan were tearing up a circular ad and making a huge mess and Cade was just watching them thinking what are these two doing....looks like trouble!

So one of the latest things with the boys is they now have their front two bottom teeth and their two top teeth. And...... .they like to grind them together! Oh, it is the worst sound, I can barely handle it. I hope it is a short phase.

What a Day!

We stayed the night in Iowa last night and drove back this morning after we fed the boys. So as soon as we got back, we dropped them off at daycare and headed to work. Then Keith picked up Carter and I took Dylan to the doctor. He had another round of thrush after being on antibiotics for about 20 days for all the ear infections. That doctor was super cool, he said "looks like you have a pretty good idea what thrush looks like, I will give you some refills for the prescription". THANK YOU!!! How many times have we had this and finally a doctor gives me some refills, I never even thought about asking if they could do that.
Then we fed the boys, tried to unpack, played for a while, and bathed the boys. Then after they went to sleep, I went to the grocery store. I should go at 9:00 more often, it was nice and quiet. I have a couple hours worth of work to do and then I am off to bed!!
So I will try to update the blog with some more pics in the next couple of days.

Flashback Friday

It is hard to believe, but it was almost 1 year ago that my doctor instructed me that I would have to go on bedrest!! I was 30 weeks pregnant and ended up being on bedrest until 36 weeks. So I planted permanent residence on my big red couch and Stella kept me company. Most people would think bedrest sounds nice, but it wasn't quite as enjoyable as it sounds. I was only supposed to be up, and by "up" they mean sitting straight up, for up to four hours a day. That was mostly spent going to the bathroom every 30 minutes:) The highlight of my week would be my weekly ultrasound and doctor's appointment. Towards the end, Keith would let me out of the house a little more and I would drive the rascal around Home Depot and Target. Those can be a little big on the dangerous side. Keith would act like he didn't know me:) And the home depot one was a little bit embarrassing because it had a bright orange flashing light on it.

My Laundry Helper

I think I had to fold everything two or three times before I was done.

We can reach!

The boys are growing so fast and are starting to get so tall. We are finding we have fewer and fewer places to keep things out of the boys' reach. It is funny to see these little tiny fingers latch onto the tops of tables and counter tops, it won't be long before they will be into everything!
