Momma's boys

Since one boy is usually clamped to my leg and they tend to scream when I leave the room, I think it is safe to say we have a couple of momma's boys. Keith informed me though that he isn't worried because pretty soon he will be way cooler than me and they are going to be way more into him because they will be doing cool stuff like building things and working in the garage, etc. So we'll see how all that goes.

So for right now I will enjoy being popular around the house while it lasts. And if they do become daddy's boys, I always have Stella. I'm pretty sure even though she seems a little disappointed in me, I'm still miles ahead of Keith on her list.

We finally got to meet Oliver!

Adam and Sarah had Oliver Richard on January 6. We have been trying to go to Iowa to meet him for the past few weekends but haven't been able to make it between the boys being sick and the weekly blizzards/ice storms Iowa has been getting. We had great weather finally and made it back to Iowa for the weekend.

Keith and I left the boys with my mom and went to visit Oliver on Saturday. Adam, Sarah and Oliver are doing great. They are even starting to get some longer stretches of sleep.

He looks little now, but it won't be long before he is running around and getting into everything with Dylan and Carter.

Uh Oh, looks like I lost my touch!

It was fun holding a little baby again, but talking to Adam and Sarah about those first weeks brought back lots of buried memories and confirmed that we are not ready to have another one for a long time!

You would think a mom would learn....

I just dried Carter off after his bath, he stood up and peed right onto the rug. And I think he thought it was funny because he doesn't usually see that happen since he always has a diaper on. At least it was on the bathroom rug and not on the living room carpet!

These two are so funny with their pacifiers. They think it is funny to put in each other's mouths, my mouth, sometimes Stella's mouth.

Yeah, we had an accident at daycare so we aren't matching.

My picky eaters...

The boys continue to be very picky eaters, which makes packing lunches quite a task. Everyday we get a report from daycare and tonight Carter's sheet said "wouldn't eat applesauce or oatmeal for breakfast", "wouldn't eat veggie at lunch and threw roll on floor". NICE!!! Well, they don't look like they are starving. Their diet is pretty much just strawberries these days!

I've been trying to give them junior mints for the past couple of days and have been denied! I should take a video tomorrow, it is pretty funny the way they turn away from candy.

It's not easy being a Vikings fan!

The boys got to experience their first Vikings' heartbreak on Sunday! I rarely watch pro football and even got pretty into the game and was a little disappointed with the outcome. I think there has been a black cloud over the entire state this week.
We watched the game with our neighbors. It was a mad house with our boys and their boys Mason (2) and Hunter (5) and another 2 year old boy. There certainly was not a quiet moment!

Things we like to sit on.....

Look who's keeping busy!

Typically Carter is our calmer boy of the two and Dylan is absolutely fearless and is always getting into things and stirring up trouble. However, it seems I have caught Carter in some mischievous behavior!

I guess at daycare his new thing is to pull all the toys off one of the shelves, then climb into it. Unfortunately on Tuesday he fell out and has a cut on his eye now.

I don't think him fitting into this cube will be a concern for long. But I do fear walking into the playroom and finding him on the top shelf! I'm sure that will be happening soon!

This looks dangerous! I might have to put the fence back up. I think his belly is too big to fit through.

You probably can't tell from the picture, but he is throwing things down the stairs!

Sorry mom, NOT happening!

Neither boy was impressed! My boys are hardcore boys boys!!! They have absolutely no interest in dolls, stuffed animals, pink things, etc! They like to play with blocks, cars, the farm and pretty much anything they can bang together.

However, they do enjoy using mommy's powder brush every morning:))

Cereal for everyone.

One morning last week Keith was nebbing Dylan and Carter was sitting on his lap eating cereal. Then Carter started forcing Cheerios into Keith's mouth. He was a little bit stuck with both boys on him, so he had no choice but to eat what Carter was shoving into his mouth.
