Carter was having a great time with Jess during this video, both boys laugh so hard some times that we can't help but laugh back at them.

Just playing...

The boys are doing pretty well with their helmets. We get a lot of "looks" when we take them out. They slept with them most days last week and they don't really seem to be bothered by them most of the time. Their bodies are starting to adjust, to them and they aren't sweating quite as much as they had been. I still need to get some fun stickers for them, I'm thinking this would be a good opportunity to show a little Cyclone spirit.

5 Months!

Maybe for the 6 month picture I will have Keith help me and MAYBE, I will actually get a good one! A friend sent the boys these adorable monkey outfits, I LOVE them! So I thought it would be fun to get out their monkey stuffed animals too. I think they had fun playing with them, but to be honest, they have fun with anything they can get into their mouths.

Saturday

We had a busy day today at the Mall of America. I'm a little behind on birthday present shopping, so I almost feel as though I am Christmas shopping. The boys did pretty well at the mall today. We even ate dinner at a Mexican restaurant. This is pretty much the closest thing to a date for us.
Tonight was a lot of fun too. We went over to Wade and Kellie's house and hung out with them for a few hours. Their family was visiting, so they entertained the boys. We stayed out well past bed time (9ish), so the boys were pretty exhausted when we got home.
Stella had a good evening too, other than me, I think Kellie is her favorite person to see. Plus she loves to get out all of Kobe's (Kellie's dog) toys one-by-one.

Cranial Caps!

We have been dreading this day for a while. We finally got the cranial caps on Wednesday. It is going OK so far. They have been wearing them on and off everyday working their way up to wearing them for 23 hours a day. Tonight will be our first night with the helmet on overnight, we're a little nervous about this since the boys have NOT been sleeping very well lately.
So far, they haven't seemed to mind them too much, but the worst thing about them is that they get so hot. They just sweat a ton. So we have been trying to dress them a lot lighter and we are working on NOT swaddling them at night. Carter has been doing OK with his arms out, but Dylan has been waking up about every hour.
We'll have to take the boys in every 1-2 weeks to have the caps adjusted and they will have them from 8-12 weeks.
We went to the Mall of America and out to eat a couple times this weekend and got lots of looks:)

5 months

The boys are 5 months already!!! Here is what we have been doing and not doing lately. Both boys are rolling some, from tummy to back. I need to keep working with them a little more, they have been so sick lately, we have had more crying time than playing time. They love playing in the jumperoo and exersaucer. They are really starting to notice each other a lot more, so that has been a lot of fun to watch. They have been having a lot of fun with their toys and put EVERYTHING they can get their hand on straight into their mouths.

Lately, the boys have not been into sleeping through the night, which has been a little tough on me and Keith. Let's hope this phase passes quickly. They are also not really interested in eating solids yet. I have tried rice cereal, oatmeal, green beans, sweet potatoes, applesauce and pears. I have mixed these with all sorts of blends, runny and thick, tried different times of the day and still haven't had much success:( After three failed tries with pears, I think we will try bananas tomorrow.

Visitors

We had a lot of fun this weekend with Ryan and Nicole in town. Ryan got a double dose of what it is like to have babies. I think we broke him in pretty well. Nicole and I left all four boys at home and went to some bridal stores. So the boys did some manly things and went to Menards, a sports store and then found themselves at a sports bar so they could catch a few NCAA ballgames.
Ryan and Nicole were awesome with the boys! The boys really seemed to really like playing with them. Hopefully we didn't scare them off from having kids!

Cheers!!!

Our good friends Ryan and Nicole came up to visit for the weekend and we had a lot to celebrate because they just got ENGAGED! We even got out the crystal to toast! I would have gotten out the good china, too, but it is packed so nicely in the boxes they came in that I better wait for an even bigger event:)
Keith and I were also celebrating our 10 year anniversary. I should reprase that by saying, I was celebrating our 10 year anniversary. Keith actualy said "shouldn't we celebrate our 'real' anniversary instead." Anyhow, I guess at another time I will share the story of our first date.

Grandma Bucklin Visit

My mom came up Monday through Thursday this week to help out. So she was pretty busy playing with the boys and keeping up with our constant mess. It's always nice to have some extra help on Mondays and Wednesdays when Keith has class. This coming week he will be on spring break!!! Not sure which one of us is more excited:))

This was pretty fun, they had all four hands jammed together and they were both trying to get all of them into their mouths.

Nap time for all, I bet I was busy washing bottles:))
