I don't think the boys are ready to go through the full potty training process yet. They do understand quite a lot of things you tell them to do (selectively), but I don't think they are completely ready. However, I am trying to get them a little familiar with the concept and have been talking to them about it and the last couple of weeks about once a day when we give them baths I ask them if they want to go potty and put them on the toilet (I haven't bought a kids potty yet) to let them get familiar with the process. Well, I am excited to share that Carter has has gone 5 times now! The first time I thought it was a coincidence, the second time I still wasn't sure and by the third we decided he can control letting himself go. So proud of him! Dylan likes to sit on the potty and gets excited about it, but hasn't quite connected the dots yet.
We'll keep doing things like this and then once we think they are really ready, we will dive into full potty training. I should probably buy a book, I've read a little online, but haven't researched it much. Any book suggestions?
