Ever since we rolled the clocks back, the boys have been waking up at 4:30 am a lot. Usually we can get them back to sleep. One night Dylan started crying pretty loud and I went into their room and did something really dumb. I accidentally kicked their baby Einstein toy which started playing loud music and flashing bright lights! So then it wasn't long before Carter woke up too. We ended up getting Dylan back to sleep pretty easily, but it took Carter about an hour to fall back asleep. Both ended up in our bed.
I won't make that mistake again!
It's always a gamble when one wakes up early. Sometimes we can bring the one into our room and get them back asleep. Which is what you want to do because you don't want them to wake up the other one. But when you hear one talking or crying you can't always tell if both are up or if it is just one.... they are tricky! So if you do go in and it ends up being both awake and they see you walk in, it is about impossible to get them both back to sleep. If I can tell both are up I usually just let them get themselves back to sleep. Anyhow, we seem to go through this process of trying to figure out if we should go into the room or not at least three days a week.
