This is what we have been dealing with lately! The boys have ALWAYS been climbers. They started crawling around 6 months and probably two days later, they started climbing!
I would say it hasn't been a major issue for about a year- until NOW!!! Yesterday I said to Keith- what is with Carter climbing trees lately, he said, what are you talking about he has been climbing everything lately! TRUE! They can climb up to the counter, even up the side of the island with no cabinet doors or drawers. Their little feet must be rubber grips. They can climb up shopping carts - which is SUPER annoying and almost tips and YES - they get in trouble. They climb to the roof of their little club house. Nicole and Ryan were over last week and one of them was back their with Ryan and convinced him that mommy and daddy let them be on the roof. Did I mention they have been fibbing a bit lately?
We have a little bench swing on the deck that has a big bar at the top, now they think they need to swing on that and try to climb. Tonight Carter managed to swing himself upside down and got the back of his knees hooked onto the bar. Thank goodness I was about two feet from him - I AM NOT ready for them to hang upside down yet. So anyway - these two pretty much need to be insight at all times.
My mom busted him climbing her tree this weekend. Good thing our trees are too little.
