For this week's Flashback Friday segment, I thought I would share one of my favorite past times in the excitement for the upcoming Baxter Fun Day's festivities (Yes, they really are "fun" days).
For any readers who haven't been to Baxter Fun Days, which I am assuming most of you have not had the pleasure of attending, it is my hometown's annual celebration.
For many years, the lip sync contest was one of the weekends big events. And one summer, my friend Kristy and I decided to participate. We both have a strong passion for the hair, makeup, music and fashion of the 80's. Anyhow, long story short, we performed Tiffany's hit I think we are alone now, at the Baxter Fun Days lip sync contest for 7 different Fun Day's weekends between 1997 - 2004. Ahhhh....what a good run.
It was a good thing we got so good at that dance because, to my surprise, Tiffany came to Ames to perform at ISU's M-shop when we were in college. Several of my girlfriends and I got our 80's gear on and went to the concert. What a blast, we even ended up partying with Tiffany at the bar after the concert. She rocked!

I was also at this Tiffany show. Lou and I have our pic the 80s pop princess, as well! LOVE IT!
