The Pumpkin THREEpeat

It happened, the pumpkin costume made it's third Halloween appearance.  I have the weirdest kids when it comes to Halloween costumes, they just don't really like them!  Dylan was a little excited about his ghost costume this year, but nothing like the kids who wears their superhero costumes three times a week and it's worn out before Halloween hits.  I tell people now to do the fun costumes when they are little because they may be really stubborn about it when they get older!  I for sure would have had one be Clark Kent and the other Superman.  Had I know we would have a pumpkin three peat, I would have chosen a different first Halloween costume.  However, they were my pumpkin babies, so it was fitting at the time.

It also appears I need to step up my Halloween decorations back up. I'm not even sure where some of those decorations are!

For the love of baseball

If my boys like baseball a lot when they are older and are actually good, this will be a pretty darn cute picture!

And all good players need a fan!

Actually, I think she is just in for the snacks.  Sorry boys!

Welcome to BORMANN BAY….

Saturday night we celebrated the boys' 4th birthday with an OCEAN theme.  This was such a fun there because you could do so many different things with it.  So here goes the pinspired party planning madness!  I will be sure to post actual party pics later.  Looking forward to getting a bit more sleep this week:)

The hats were so much fun last year, we though we would do them again, only this year I had 6 instead of 4.

We had a pretty sweet dance party in the boys' room after we had cake!

she loved it!

Working on my carving skills!

I was going to do sand.  Keith said, I don't think you can mail sand.  I called the post office to see if they would have a problem with me mailing sand.  She said she would have a problem.  Not the sand really, it's just that they wouldn't know it was sand! So I went with the sparkly blue paper.  (BTW, no plans to cut out octopuses in my near future)

I usually do soups for the boys' party since it is always nice for a good fall day.  Too bad I don't know how to make clam chowder or jumbalya.  Thought I should play it a little bit safer with chicken noodle and lasagna soup.

At the party store I found a blue flashing light and a disco ball, totally brought the dance party up to a new level!

No ocean is complete without birds!
I think it is safe to say we had a lot of TIRED boys last night:)  Maybe next year we will brave a friend or neighborhood party!

More pics to come....

Time for presents and cake!

Most of our family made it for the party - big thanks to all who came to help celebrate!!!  Since it is usually cool weather for the boys' bday, I have been making soups every year.  This year we did chicken noodle and lasagna soup (interest recipe round two - I think I will make it again!).  I also made hot apple pie - a tasty drink for the adults - YUM!
The boys got all kinds of GREAT GIFTS!!!!  Pretty lucky little boys and they loved them all.  I figured we were good to go when Dylan opened the first present and enthusiastically yelled out A BOX!!!  They are super set on PJs now, they got 5 sets.  So I thought this would be a good time to get rid of any that were above the wrists or ankles.  So they have been looking good every night.

Scooters were a hit - I'm hoping they can use these in the basement this winter to burn off a bit of energy.

I think Oliver has been hanging out with Uncle Keith too much, his eyes lit up when the boys opened these computers.
The bikes have been a pretty big hit with Carter, he likes to ride his every day - Dylan, not so much.  I guess with time!

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR HELPING US CELEBRATE AND FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL GIFTS!!!  The boys have been playing with all their new toys every night.

It's funny, that night and even now if you ask Dylan about his birthday or how old he is, he says my party is over. It was so much fun this year since they really got into it and enjoyed it too!  Maybe next year I will brave a kids party!
