The boys weren't feeling their best all weekend. They have had a cough for a couple weeks now and it has been really bad at night waking them up. They had started getting a little wheezy, runny noses and all the other typical cold symptoms. Sunday night was NOT a fun night! Dylan woke up around 3 and came into bed with us. He was burning up and didn't settle down and fall back asleep until sometime after 4. Then around 5:30 Dylan woke up and started to cry, Carter heard him and started to cry and neither thought it would be a good idea to go back to sleep! I'm not a morning person, so I was pretty crabby all day!
Today was MLK day so our daycare was closed (weird I know), so we had planned on being home anyway. I stayed home in the morning and Keith left right after the boys woke up and then came home around 11:30 and we were able to get the boys into the doctor's office. They gave Dylan antibiotics for bronchiolitis and Carter's lungs were sounding clear but he was at the start of an ear infection, so he got antibiotics as well. Then they also want us to use the nebulizer 3x a day this week. I wasn't too excited to get that out! And you can imagine the battle of having them sit still for 15 minutes for a treatment, not an easy task!
Carter tried to suck Dylan's nose out with the bulb syringe tonight, so that was entertaining. Not sure if he was trying to help or trying to get back at him because Dylan keeps pulling Carter's hair.
I'm hoping both sleep all night! I plan to go to bed before 10:00 tonight in hopes of getting some sleep. Dylan has ended up in our room almost every night for the last two weeks.
