Well, my day quickly filled up with several obstacles. First, we had to take Stella in to get her haircut, she had gotten so shaggy that I could barely see her left eye and quite frankly, she stunk. (YES, we probably should have bathed her ourselves) Then I had to take Dylan to Burnsville for a physical therapy appointment. (He is done with the helmet, but his head still tilts, so he has to go to PT about once a month)
So on my way to drop Stella off, I got pulled over. This was my first moving violation in the great state of 10,000 lakes. He asked me if I knew why I was being pulled over, and to be honest I wasn't even sure and assumed speed. I guess I must have rolled through a stop sign. I didn't think it was that big of a deal and figured I was probably overdue until I got my ticket. $145, not $45, $145!!! Had I known, persuasive Jessica and the waterworks would have come out!!! The ticket listed all the different violations and fees. To my surprise, possession of a small amount of marijuana is a $128 fee. I guess I would have assumed this to be a greater crime than rolling through a stop sign.
(The officer looked almost like this + 40 years)
I finally made it back home at about 11:30 and finally got to work on the house. I did some pretty serious cleaning. As a matter of a fact, it was the first time I had ever used the attachment parts on our vacuum cleaner. (I never said I was a Martha Stewart) We also purchased a steam rug cleaner this winter, which I used for the first time today too. I cleaned the living room and hallway carpet today. I also discovered that we have a lot more room in our kitchen by turning the table. So I had quite a day.
I was busy cleaning and Keith hollered in saying there was a lost little boy in the street who didn't speak English. I had remembered hearing there was a Russian family down the street, which ended up being his home. We couldn't believe it. The lady who answered the door didn't even seem to have noticed he was missing or overly enthused and grateful we brought him home.
Now back to those unfortunate events of the day. Keith got home from work this afternoon and started to power wash the house in prep of our paint project. Our neighbor, Wade, was so kind to let us borrow his power washer. Halfway through, Keith came in to tell me that it was no longer working!!! So we got Wade a new one, which was $150. So Keith and I have seen better Fridays.

Oh, man, what a Friday! I hope you guys have a good rest of your weekend despite getting started on the wrong foot.
Wade said he got it fixed! So now it sounds like you either have yourself a new power washer or can return that one for the $150 back! So that is good! You can borrow it anytime too! :)
OH good, we can always count on WADE!!! That's what we get for always borrowing his stuff.
