PARTY TIME!!!

Oliver was being so funny with Alec, he was trying to tickle his feet and make him laugh.

Oliver was cracking me up with his hat - I guess he just loves his hats (LUCKY).  I was happy the boys kept them on long enough for this picture, I know they seem totally thrilled!  Cade must have been a fan, the next day he made two at home.

3rd birthday morning

I think the boys had a fun morning!  Keith made them pancakes in the shape of 3's, they requested them again the next day - and they had to be 3's, Keith tried smiley faces and Grandpa Karl ended up getting a smiley face.

Thinking alike...

Sometimes these two will be on the same track together, both will go after something and use the exact same motions.

A few funny things

Salsa
I made homemade salsa a couple weeks ago and look who decided to suck on the lemons!  And yep, Carter took a bite out of the onion that is in his hand, probably the last vegetable I've seen him touch since.

Dyan is back at it again, yep being the big faker!
Tonight Keith picked Carter up and bumped his foot and so we were both rubbing it as Dylan watched patiently.  He was strapped in his chair so couldn't really fake an injury and I could tell he was really thinking over the situation. So what does he do??? Takes his sippy cup and hits his head with it....TWICE!  Then acts hurt!  Then of course we had to get ice.

Twin Talk
The boys probably played the best together tonight as I have ever seen them play, which is pretty awesome to witness as a parent.  I think this twin talk is really starting to kick in.  They were so funny tonight.  They would run to their room, back to the family room, back to their room, then behind the chair, then get Stella's toys out, then put them in my shoes and the entire time they would both repeat the same noises back and forth to each other.  But they were always different noises depending on the tasks.  Both of them had red cheeks from running up and down the hallway so much.

Celebrating their individuality...

{Carter & Dylan}
Love the long sleeves in 90 degrees?  Carter picked them out, so that is what we went with for the evening.
The boys are so similiar in so many ways, I often times wonder if I neglect focusing on their individual personalities and growing them as Carter and Dylan, not the Bormann Twins.  In many situations, I often treat them as one.  For example, we had a meeting with their daycare teacher a couple months ago to review milestones and she asked if we wanted to go through the sheets seperate or go through both boys together.  Of course I naturally said lets do both at once.  And outside of a couple things, they were right with each other on each task.
Sometimes I wonder if when they are older and asks for a picture of him on his first day of school and I am only able to find one of him and his brother, what will he think, will he be disapointed?  Or that they probably won't have their "own" birthday parties.  On the other hand, they have something rare and special that they get to go through life with a best friend.
As they get older, I do hope to make special days and outings for each with one-on-one mom or dad time.

The BORMANN Twins

On Saturday we went to Keith's cousin Lindsay's wedding. And it was a great opportunity to get a picture of all those Bormann twins. In the middle are Keith's aunts Corrine and Connie. Then his first cousins Lindsay and Megan. Lindsay and Megan are still pretty hard to tell apart even in their twenties.
