The holidays are pretty darn fun with 4 year olds

What a fun age - they are just starting to buy into all the Christmas fun and excitement. One night on the way home from daycare Carter said, mom lets go out to eat.  Me- no Dylan is home sick.  Maybe grandma can stay home with Dylan and Olivia and we can go out to eat.  So we decided, instead we could have a date night.  Last Saturday, Carter and I went to "Red Lobsters" - his choice, then went Christmas shopping for Dylan.  That evening Dylan and I went to The Waterfront and Christmas shopping for Carter.  Both boys had salmon in case you were curious.

Carter was VERY excited when we got home and he wanted to wrap his presents right away.  He had that paper cut before I even came into the room.  Then we had to re-cut since he didn't measure.  I wanted to make sure that they picked all their own bows, paper and tags.  A bit more fun that way.

THat is one proud boy! I'm really impressed too because so far he has NOT told Dylan what it is.  When we saw Cade, he told him his present was a surprise, Legos.

Dylan picked out this little vet kit for Carter???  I have no clue where the heck we will be squeezing all these new toys.
