On Monday, we will have been on the market for two weeks. Things seem to be going well, but no offers yet! We had an open house on Sunday and the realtor said seven groups went through. She was pretty happy with that number considering the time of the year and a slow buyer's market. She said several realtors are having open houses with no lookers. So we were happy with that. On Tuesday she had a tour for realtors and had about 20 come through. Then we had three other showings this week. No buyers yet, but at least there has been some traffic.
So far most feedback has been positive. The realtors fill out a score card and most felt it was priced right and the interior/exterior scored well. Some concerns with the school at the end of our street, which was built after we moved, but we have had no issues with that and barely even notice it is there. So hopefully good things will come soon.
On a bad note, our hot water heater broke! I guess this wasn't a big surprise for us and I must say it was a little bit of good and bad timing. Bad because we don't really have the time to deal with it. Good because we took out a home-seller/buyers warranty, which covers issues like this or if our heating/cooling fail, so we will only being paying about $100 for a new one and we would have spent quite a bit more if we didn't have the warranty. So that was installed this week. We'll keep you posted if we get an offer.
